Basic: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000

Hours: 10 - 12 hours (Shifts) - DAYS

Overview:
* Our client is a food manufacturing business and they are currently urgently seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler.
* This role is on the Day Shift, working 10-12 hours shift either on a 4 ON / 4 OFF shift pattern or similar.
* You have demonstrable production planning experience in a relevant environment.
* A fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving and growing business..

The Candidate:
* You are commercially driven and ambitious
* You ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a Production Planning environment
* You are enthusiastic and motivated with "a can do, will do" attitude
* You have excellent leadership potential and the ability to work as part of a team as you will deputise for the Planning Manager during holidays etc
* You can demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, analytical and attention to detail skills
* You have the ability to plan ahead, whilst working to deadlines and targets
* You have the passion, ambition and desire to become junior middle management.
* You have excellent IT and Administrative skills
* You will have previous relevant experience which, involved analytical thinking

The Role:
* In this role you will be gaining an understanding of all processes on site to enable efficient planning;
* You will create and deliver production plans to meet customer's forecast and actual orders
* You will input and reconcile factory production to ensure adherence to the production / factory plan
* You will communicate with production management ensuring the timely completion and despatch of production
* You will ensure orders are correct, on the appropriate systems for our logistics partners to deliver to our customers within specific time deadlines
* You will communicate with suppliers/hauliers, ensuring timely deliveries to and from production site
* You will expedite time critical items as directed by senior management
* You will ensure the continuous supply of ingredients to achieve plans and orders
* You will help manage stock of third party products, ensuring full availability, with minimal wastage
