About the Company: We are actively recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a well-established Engineering company based in Newark. It will be to join a small but dedicated team on a Temp to Perm basis.
Job overview: This is a part time role, covering many elements of accounts work within a small engineering company based in Newark. The majority of works will cover purchase ledger activities and accounts preparations for reporting with small elements of preparing payroll. There are other areas of accounts which will need to be covered in people's absence. Therefore we are looking for an all-round accounts experienced person.
Daily tasks will include:
- Use of Sage 50 and Microsoft Office
- Posting invoices
- Posting payments and releasing remittances
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Preparing and submitting subcontractor CIS payment certificates
- Matching credit card receipts to statements, and chasing where necessary
- Costing compressor service/repair job sheets
- Credit control
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Checking timesheet addition
- Checking overtime claims are in accordance with company policy and contract
- Submitting monthly CIS details to HMRC
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly management information
- Assisting with monthly or quarterly management information
About you: Previous experience in a similar role is essential for this position. You will also possess a methodical and practical approach to working and have the ability to work independently. You must have had previous experience in CIS payments and Sage 50.
What's in it for you? This role is being offered on a part-time temporary to permanent basis working 27.5 hours per week. Hourly rate: GBP10.00 per hour. There is free car parking and kitchen facilities on site.
