Account Agent/Sales Order Progressor (Permanent)

GBP15,678 (GBP8.04) plus bonus - Company Discount - Parking
Hours: 8.30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday - 37.5hrs
There is an opportunity for the right person to join a well-established forward thinking progressive foodservice company. Customers are made up of independent sandwich bars, bakeries, sandwich manufacturers, colleges, universities and the catering trade.
The Role:
- You will be working closely with our field-sales team.
- Developing a good working relationship with customers and giving a 5 star service.
- Phoning our existing customers for their orders
- Developing & cementing good customer relationships to encourage buying of further product lines
- Using initiative to promote applicable products and upselling a wide range of chilled, frozen and ambient products that includes sandwich fillings, cooked meats, cheese, bacon, sausage, canned tuna, baked beans, chopped tomatoes, mayonnaise. Baguettes & Paninis to name a few.
The person:
- You will need to be an excellent communicator with a confident telephone manner
- A good level of computer literacy with a knowledge of Excel, Word and Databases
- Being comfortable with upselling is essential- 1 yearsproven experience
