Overall Purpose
The Assessor/Trainer will be responsible for planning, carrying out assessment and supporting a dedicated caseload of learners with Apprenticeships frameworks and standards. The role will involve assessing learner's competence against the occupational standards and in line with awarding organisation's requirements. The role also entails delivering assessment and training in a variety of settings including workplace, onsite and offsite and training venues.
Key Duties

• Provide initial advice and guidance & additional support to learners relating to career progression and recruitment opportunities
• Undertake assessment ,observation and training of learners within the work-place
• Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with learners to create portfolios to agreed standards ensuring they are submitted on time
• Carry out regular reviews with apprentices ensuring involvement with employers and line managers
• Visit learners within the workplace at monthly to assess and support
• Prepare action plans and provide feedback on portfolio completion where appropriate
• Record all activities relating to the learners training and assessment on designated reporting methods
• Comply with and reinforce site health & safety policy procedures for Apprenticeship delivery
• Ensure full adherence and compliance to Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and the Prevent agenda
• Provide guidance, management and support for respective learners with e-portfolio
• Market ,engage and sign up new learners in line with agreed KPI's
• Carry out interim and exit reviews with learners as requested
• Work as part of the delivery team to provide a high quality learning experience and embed effective support to ensure the learner experience is consistently high quality
• Support other Assessor/Trainers should the need arise e.g. New contracts and absence
• Assist with the production of learning resources and materials to contribute to the design and development of content and workshops as required
• Work towards achieving/attaining Grade 1 Outstanding for quality of teaching and learning & assessment
• Attend and maintain an annual record of CPD, minimum 30 hours
• Undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate for this role as directed the line manager

Skills & Competencies
• Demonstrable track record of assessment and training delivery in line within the relevant subject sector area
• Working knowledge of using e-portfolio and embedding within assessment and training
• Understanding of delivering robust programmes with high learner retention, achievement and success rates
• Experience of delivering embedded functional skills or stand-alone Maths, English and ICT
• Knowledge of the OFSTED Common Inspection Framework
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects for on time delivery of the highest quality standards
• Confident user of management information data to support the analysis (quantitative and qualitative) of issues and contribute to improvement planning
• Relevant and recent occupational competence within chosen subject sector area
• Holder of relevant training qualification; D32/A1/TAQA/ CTTLS/DTTLS /Certificate in Education Training Foundation or equivalent
• Attained the IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent or high level of H&S awareness
• Effective user of ICT including MS Word, MS Excel and email systems
• Highly developed communication skills (written and oral)
