ENERCON Services UK Ltd began in 2005, we now have over 900 turbines across the United Kingdom and we are part of one of the leading Wind Turbine companies in the world.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our company. Reporting to the Managing Director and working with the Senior Management team to implement the company service strategy. This role will be based in Huntingdon, the East of England.

Operations Manager Responsibilities and Expectations:

- Coordinate the Service Operations Team of multiple departments inside the Service HQ and out in the field eg. Electric, High Voltage and Mechanical Maintenance and fault resolution.
- Organise a seamless service for our Wind Energy Converter customers together with the relevant departments in the UK and at the ESC-Headquarter in Germany
- Review legislation and UK specific requirements to ensure compliance of the Operative Service Organisation in the UK
- Have a close focus on Service KPI's and Implement changes required and manage these within a Matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders involved
- Analyse the structure of the company together with the Management Team and look for continuous improvements and implement these in a pro-active way
- Represent the company at customer meetings, as required.
- Work inside defined budgets; support the commercial management with the budget creation and the service departments KPI values.
- Carry out yearly appraisals for all direct staff, work with HR when necessary to carry out disciplinary procedures and recruitment needs
- Keep in regular contact with ENERCON Branch UK and other ENERCON service companies information

As the Operations Manager you will ensure the Service department is working efficiently, safely and in compliance with the ENERCON Standards and UK legislation at all times. You will have a positive, pro-active approach to working with inside the management team and your Field Area Managers and Team leaders to create an exceptional working environment to supervise, mentor, develop & provide training as and when needed for the team.

Operations Manager Experience & Qualifications:

- Engineering Degree Electric or Power System related with expertise and an understanding of industrial engineering / maintenance organisation requirements
- Good understanding of complex technical problems in the wind / electric / mechanic service industry
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the field of technical and service management in the wind or another related industry at managerial level.
- Exceptional spoken English and ideally a foreign language (German knowledge would be a distinct benefit).
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be focused & able to prioritise work and achieve measurable results
- Strategic & analytic thinker with experienced in change management, be able to manage required changes in a positive and engaging way with your team.
- Must have managed large groups of staff and able to delegate as and when necessary.
