Based in Loughton, Essex

One of the UK's most recognisable and established high street names are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract at their Head Office in Loughton, Essex. The Role
You would play an important role as part of the Head Office Finance team, assisting the Financial Controller across all areas of management and financial accounting and helping provide high quality management information. Key tasks will include
o Review monthly management accounts, including departmental profit and loss accounts and variance analysis
o Manage and coaching a team of 4 management accountants providing assistance where necessary
o Review all Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
o Prepare the annual FRS102 statutory financial statements and prepare /review supporting schedules for year-end audit requirements
o Monitor and evaluate financial information processes suggesting improvements where needed in alignment with SOX
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and commercially minded individual with a successful record of management and financial accounts preparation in previous roles. You will be ACCA / CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience. You will combine an in depth understanding of financial regulations and accounting practices, while experience of property / rent accounting would also be an advantage.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, analytical accuracy, plus incisive strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior colleagues as well as coach and lead a small team. A flexible work ethic and the ability to work accurately under pressure are also essential for this position.
