My client is a huge player in the commercial vehicle market with some very exciting and new projects coming through. They are looking to increase on capacity over the next 2 years and are looking for a fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter with experience in the industry for their workshop in Southampton.
The successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter must have some of the following -
- Level 3 Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ) in Heavy Vehicles
- Engineering Apprenticeship
- Proven commercial vehicle experience
- HGV Licence (beneficial not essential)
- Be an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter job role -
- Working on brand new equipment as well as vehicles up to 5 years old
- Setting up new processes within the workshop.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling and prioritising of HGV works.
- Prompt fault finding/diagnostics and rectification on all HGV equipment
- Updating of service documentation
- Responsible for identifying possible equipment and operational improvements
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter hours of work are Monday to Friday - 06:30 to 14:30 and 16:00 to 00:00 with every other Saturday morning 06:00 to 12:00
The HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter can expect to earn between GBP32'000 to GBP38'000 per annum.
