Business Development Manager

A client based in Dartford is recruiting for a Business Development Manager,to assist us achieve our growth targets. The ideal candidate must have proven track record in the field of sales & marketing within luxury food and drink or similar sector. The applicant must be proactive and result driven and be able to work within a small team as well as independently to implement the business development strategy. The role demands coming up with innovative, practical and commercially viable products and services.

Business Development Executive's Core Attributes and skills

- Proven track records in sales and business development;
- Ability to quickly build credibility and define customer requirements;
- Experience of working with large and small customers;
- Articulate, friendly, optimistic, goal orientated and success driven;
- Highly organised and results-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills;
- A great deal of personal initiative and strong hands-on attitude along with creativeness, decisiveness and results-driven mentality;

Key Duties

- Seeking new sales opportunities within the sectors such as hospitality, retail, distributors, cafes, speciality food store and high-end departmental stores;
- Developing and executing the strategy for building new trade opportunities;
- Generating and responding to new sales leads as well as managing the existing accounts;
- Consolidating the current and new leads to a CRM system;

- Carryout competitor analysis and research on industry trends;
- Research the best point of contact and make initial contacts and arrange meetings/ presentation;
- Confidently and articulately present our key Unique Selling Point's to potential clients;

- Handling enquiries from existing and potential customer and press;
