Teaching Assistant

Required for September 2017, St Edmund Campion Primary School, part of South Nottingham Catholic Academy Trust is looking to appoint 3 temporary Teaching Assistants to the following vacancies which are all available for a fixed termuntil 25 July 2018.

Post 1: Level 1 TA working 32.5 hours per week, term time only
Starting salary £11,375 pa
Posts 2 and 3: Level 2 TAs working 32.5 hours per week, term time only
Starting salary £12,415 pa

Your duties will include supporting pupils'learning activities working either with individuals or small groups and contributing to the management of pupil behaviour by encouraging pupil learning and positive behaviour in the classroom. Appointees to the Level 2 posts will also be expected to assist the class teacher to plan, differentiate and prepare intervention strategies to improve learning for specific pupils and to monitor progress against these targets, planning and implementing further strategies as required.

You will be enthusiastic, committed to making a difference with experience of working with primary age children and have an excellent understanding of English and Maths (GCSE Grade C or above). For the Level 2 posts you must have previous experience of working with primary age pupils to support learning.
