Key Stage 3 Learning Mentor
TEMPORARY POST TO 31 AUGUST 2018 IN THE FIRST INSTANCE
Term time only - 37 hours per week
NJC Level 4 (Scale Point 22-28) Actual pay £17,593 - £21,257 p.a.

Required for September 2017, a KS3 Learning Mentor, to work with and mentor a number of our KS3 students.

The successful candidate will support the academic achievement of these students. This is an exciting and diverse role which provides the opportunity to work with students as they make the transition through KS3 and in to KS4 learning.

We expect the role to focus on students' progress (their attendance in school is pivotal) and this will involve liaising between staff and parents, with particular emphasis on our pupil premium cohort.
You will be qualified at least to degree standard and have a commitment to working positively with young people.
 
Academic Coach: English
PERMANENT POST
Term time only - 37 hours per week
NJC Level 4 (Scale Point 22-28) Actual pay £17,593 - £21,257 p.a.

Required for September 2017 - an English Coach to work in innovative ways with individuals or small groups to help them fulfil their potential.
For the appropriate and suitably qualified candidate, we would support the transition to a School Direct Programme in September 2018 - a number of our coaches have successfully made this move within our school and are now fully qualified teachers.
Ideally, the successful candidate will hold an English Degree qualification.
 
Teaching Assistant
PERMANENT POST
Term time only - 32.5 hours per week
Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Scale Point 15-17) - actual pay £12,713 - £13,235 p.a
Required for September 2017, an additional Teaching Assistant within our Special Needs Department (SEN), to work under the direction of the Head of Department to enable students to access learning and to assist the class teacher in the management of students and the classroom.
The SEN department at Streetly is a large, outstanding team. You will be joining a progressive team, where there is the opportunity for professional development and to both engage in and deliver training to others.
