I am actively recruiting for two assistant chefs to join a leading, state of the art residential care service for older adults in the Black Country.
Employed 31.5 hours per week (to be agreed on a rota basis), you will work closely with an established chef to deliver high quality food to the residents who live here.
You will assist with the preparation of all resident's meals, whilst ensuring all tasks are carried out in a safe and hygienic way. You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, meeting food safety guidelines and the company's high standards.
To be considered for these exciting vacancies, you will be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge and understanding of basic food preparation, stock control and rotation and have excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards and infection prevention control.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven background in preparing and serving food within a large catering operation and have experience of working with vulnerable people with specific dietary needs.
Good numeracy and literacy skills, a basic food hygiene certificate and NVQ level 2 or higher in professional cookery or equivalent is essential to be considered for the assistant chef job role.
In return for your relevant skills and experience, you will receive a generous hourly rate of GBP7.70 per hour, 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata and other exciting benefits.
