Legal Contracts Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Contracts Manager to join the NHS in Yorkshire for a 6-12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have a legal background within commercial contracts and previous management experience
Day to day duties will include:
- Providing a professional lead for contracting to the NHS
- Managing contracts and relationships with Trust Commissioners
- Taking day to day responsibility for the management of the Trust's contract portfolio
- Leading on the contract development and negotiation process for the Trust
- Advising on mitigating and managing risk within contracts entered by the Trust
- Managing of staff within the contracting department
- Drafting legal terms and conditions
- Improving standard agreements to minimise risk and enhance clarity
- Providing contractual advice, representing the NHS and dealing with conflict
The ideal candidate does not need to be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive however will need a legal background and extensive experience within commercial contracts. Managerial experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
