Maintenance & Installation Operative

About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance & Installation Operative to join our Living Places business unit to work in Leicester

What you'll be doing
As a Maintenance & Installation operative you will:

• Install, repair and maintain lighting brackets, Lanterns, overhead cables, bollards and signs
• Change lamps, lamp holders, covers, electric cells, fuses, capacitors, switches etc
• Manage basic on site risk assessments
• Be responsible for site traffic management
• Be responsible for company equipment and vehicles

Who we're looking for
You will:

• Hold a full clean UK Driving Licence
• Be technically competent with experience working within street lighting.
• Be comfortable working within a team as well as working alone and to tight deadlines
• Have the ability to read maps and must have a good level of written and numerical skills.
• Hold IPAF 1b
