A leading organisation, who specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of electrical and electronic products, are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of engineering work from initial bid through to delivery. You'll be required to plan and conduct engineering tasks in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of designs to meet the agreed requirements. You'll also be involved in contributing to project meetings and to provide both technical and progress reports to key stakeholders.

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will be knowledgeable with all aspects of design engineering, including electrical, electro-mechanical and systems. You'll be proficient in 3D CAD, ideally Solidworks, however other software packages can be considered. Experience with electronic cabinets, sheet metal fabrication and welding will be strongly preferred.
The Background
Our client are an operating division of a large UK based electronics manufacturer, who specialise in the Power, Defence, Rail and Aerospace markets.
The Package
In return you'll receive a competitive package of up to GBP45,000 depending on experience as well as an attractive benefits package.
