Contract, 6 months initiallySummaryThe Master Data Administrator is a specific role; working within the proposed Shared Services Centre. The post holder will bring the analytical and data expertise required to produce and execute data management operational activities that will deliver efficiencies, and high levels of data integrity within the business and for our customers.ResponsibilitiesProcurement & supply chain master data management to:
* Adhere to new Procurement Master Data Management (MDM) standards, in support of Neptune group, sector and business unit data management activities:* Alignment with data migration activities for Neptune releases * Ongoing tactical data management activities during interim states and releases* Ongoing tactical data management activities upon implementation delivering data standards integrity, for procurement & supply chain master data* Responsible for the tactical data management activities of all relevant procurement & supply chain master data including: vendors, materials (where applicable), info records, source lists, etc.
Embed master data management and standards across business units, sectors and group data:
* Work closely with both Neptune, group procurement, and the sector/business unit master data leads responsible for procurement master data management and migration to deploy* Maintain and communicate tactical data reference materials that engage the function and wider business in adopting best practice data management processes
Delivery of system and process master data initiatives which improve effectiveness and efficiency and reduce risks - via Neptune
* Support the implementation of a single vendor master across all UK Sectors using SAP and ensure ongoing adherence to master data governance and standards* In order to achieve these objectives, an experienced master data analyst is sought to support the delivery of procurement & supply chain master data activities across procurement & supply chain.
Requirements
* Proven experience of master data management activities for procurement and supply chain organisations, within a complex ERP systems and process landscape* Ability to operate successfully in matrix or dual-reporting organisations* Strong track record in project management, delivery focussed, pragmatic, hands on approach* Excellent analytical skills* Prove competence in mastering of functional data through use of relevant tools and reporting
