Design & Build Engineer

BMR Solutions is currently looking to recruit a Design & Build Engineer to work for our client who is a manufacturing / engineering company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Job Title: Design & Build Engineer Reporting to: Equipment Design and Technical SupervisorDirect Reports: NoneHours: 37 hours per week, 8:00 - 16:30 Mon - Thurs // 8:00 - 16.00 FridayLocation: Chippenham, Wiltshire Job Type: Permanent Sector: Design / Engineering / Equipment / Electrical / Electronic / AutoCAD / Proteus / Visual Basic / Analogue / DigitalAs a member of the Equipment Design Group, the post holder is required to be highly self-motivated, organised and reliable with an ability to working as part of a multi-functional department.ATTRIBUTES:??Flexible approach to changing priorities.??Good attitude to getting the job done to a high standard and to the set time constraints.??Safe and logical design style.??Comfortable in designing and building the final design.??Meticulous approach to detail and pride in finished work.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:??Designing bespoke, analogue and digital equipment for specific use in the manufacturing and testing of high power devices.??Build equipment to a design; including soldering, wiring looms, panel making and safety testing.??Generate engineering drawings in electronic format.??Support other members of the department with technical aspects when assistance required with maintenance.??Conform to all relevant legislation such as CE, Puwer, etc.??Experience of high voltage and high current would be useful to have.??Actively co-operate in achieving the aims of the company's Health & Safety Policy Statement, the Quality Manual and IMS Policies & Procedures.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:??Time served apprenticeship,??HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering,??Good computer Knowledge.
