The priority of the Receptionist is to provide an excellent first impression to the club that exceeds all customers' expectations.

* To welcome and say goodbye to all visitors to the club with a smile, using a polite, professional, attentive and friendly manner always.
* To learn and remember customer's names and to build professional rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and promote retention.
* To answer the telephone within 5 rings using the Company's standard format.
* To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act
* To manage bookings and contact members by telephone and or email as required in line with Company protocol.
* To take responsibility for the area and ensure excellent presentation of the reception and entrance area throughout the shift.
* Responsible for carrying out administrative tasks as required.
* To be constantly aware of customers' needs and impression of the club and maximise opportunities to up sell whilst remaining unobtrusive and professional.
* To serve drinks and sell products as appropriate and offered in the area.

Sales / Membership

* To handle and record all membership enquiries taken by telephone, email or walk INS to promote the club and be part of a team ensuring monthly sales targets are achieved.

* To ensure every opportunity is taken to book club tours and tour prospective members around the club following the Company's sales training process.

* To ensure that all member and prospect records are accurately maintained, recorded and updated.

* To deal with membership administration and payments to include such areas as renewals, arrears payments, change of category and ensure effective communication and record keeping always.

* To handle member's concerns, queries and suggestions in an appropriate, professional and timely fashion, informing the Duty Manager and relevant personnel whilst retaining ownership to conclusion.

Operational

* To be responsible as part of the wider team, for ensuring that the club is presented to the highest of standards throughout every shift and immediately report any operational issues following the correct protocol.
* To be involved in hourly checks of the changing rooms and tidying / cleaning as required and identified on these checks.
* Responsible for carrying out administrative tasks and filing as required.

Financial

To ensure that all transactions are entered accurately on every occasion and report any discrepancies / issue directly to the Duty Manager and subsequently Accounts Manager.

* To cash up and reconcile takings at the end of each shift.
* To complete daily banking procedures as instructed.
* To ensure that any cash purchase are authorised and covered by a receipt for re-imbursement
