Manufacturing Engineer
Based in the heart of Lincolnshire and with a fantastic historical background, my client is a leading supplier of Industrial Turbo machinery to the Oil and Gas Industry. As an OEM, my client provide a conclusive Design, Manufacture and Aftermarket service and are part of a global organisation leading the way in Gas Turbine technology.
My client is seeking two Manufacturing Engineers to join them on an initial contract basis providing support for all manufacturing activities. The successful candidates will be involved in the manufacture of small gas turbines blades, nozzles and segments.
THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS
Manufacturing Engineer
The successful Manufacturing Engineers will receive the following rate and package:
• Competitive rate hourly rates
• Initial 6-12 month contract position (likely extension)
• Based in Lincolnshire
THE CANDIDATE
Manufacturing Engineer
Essential Experience
• Experience working on Turbines - Will need have worked on internal turbine components; blades, vanes, nozzles etc
• Must have NC Programming experience on CNC or conventional Machines
• Grinding and/or EDM experience - These are two machining methods that can cope with the hard metals used within turbine engine manufacturing
Desirable
• Experience using Unigraphics (NX)
• SAP experience is also an advantage
THE ROLE
Manufacturing Engineer
• 5-axis grinding of rotor blades, Heidenhain & Easygrind on Bridgeport's & Makino's
• Daily CNC Machining & Conventional EDM activities
• Problem solving, cost saving and sourcing of tooling and equipment
• Creation of routings in SAP
• Creation of layouts
• Inspection of parts
• NCC Activities
