Norfolk & Suffolk areas mainly, plus covering 50 mile radius and sometimes further afield if required.
Working mainly in the Fab Shops or on Sites in areas such as Norwich,
Cantley, Gt Yarmouth, Bacton, Thetford, Kings Lynn, Wissington, Wisbech.
Also as required for other regions/areas such as
Essex, Kent, London areas.
JOB DETAILS
Confined Spaces Trades Semi- Skilled & Mates -
Assisting Trades with their work, setting up work areas.
Moving materials to work areas.
Cutting pipe and steel with saws & grinders.
Lifting pipe spools and steel work into position, with Trades Persons.
Fitting U Bolts & Brackets.
Control of work areas, ensuring there are fire extinguishers, welding screens, fire blanket etc set up.
Monitoring work ensuring no sparks or flames go out of the work areas.
Keeping work areas clean & tidy.
Must have CSCS Card or Safety Passport plus Confined Space Cert
Ideally Fire Watching Cert and First Aid at Work, Abrasive Wheels etc.
Also working in Vessels, Tanks etc in Confined Spaces assisting Trades.
Also cutting & grinding sheet metal and plate.
Fitting it back, ready for welding.
Confined Spaces/Fire Watcher Op
Control of work areas, ensuring there are fire extinguishers, welding screens, fire blanket etc set up.

Working from engineering drawing on the fabrication of plate & steel work, to high specs. Fabrication of tanks, vessels, pipe racks, pipe supports, pipe spools etc.
Using saws, plasma, profilers, gas cutting equipment, grinders etc.
Fabricating carbon & stainless plate, steel work, pipe work.
Also working on fabrication & installation of plate, steel work and industrial pipe work systems.
Also working in Vessels, Tanks etc in Confined Spaces, cutting out old sheet metal & plate.
Refitting ready for welding.
Control of entry into Confined Space Areas, booking personnel in and out.
Acting as Safety Person, in case of emergencies.
Other work such as Fabrication & installation of 2 to 4 inch & 6 to 18 inch pipe work mainly.
Setting up for Welder, who will be welding to coded specs, on process and heavy wall pipe work.
Plus fitting pipe rack, supports, brackets etc.

Working on industrial pipe work systems.
Fabrication & installation of 1 to 2 inch & 3 to 12 inch pipe work mainly.
Setting up for Welder, who will be welding to coded specs, on dairy & thin wall, process and heavy wall pipe work.
Also working on screwed & fabricated pipe work systems.
Plus fitting valves and pumps etc.
Also working on vessels, tanks etc.
Pipe Fitter Welder
Working on industrial pipe work systems.
Fabrication & installation of 1 to 2 inch & 3 to ?? 12 inch pipe work
Welding using TIG mainly to coded specs, on dairy & thin wall pipe work.
Both screwed & fabricated systems.
Plus fitting valves and pumps etc.
Also working on vessels, tanks etc.
Coded Pipe Welder - TIG, MMA, MIG FCAW
Welding pipe work from 1 - 4 inch & 6 - 12 inch mainly.
Using a variety of weld procedures such as
TIG only on Carbon & Stainless
TIG root, hot pass, fill and cap MMA
MMA only
MMA root, fill and cap MIG FCAW
Welding to Coded Specs in Fabs Shops , Process Plants, Petrochem Plants,
Power Stations.
Ideally with current Weld Certs, or proof of codings etc.
Plus other quals and safety cards/certs as below.
Coded Pipe Welder - MMA, MIG FCAW
Welding pipe work from 2 - 4 inch & 6 - 18 inch mainly.
Using a variety of weld procedures such as
MMA only
MMA root, fill and cap MIG FCAW
Welding to Coded Specs in Fabs Shops , Process Plants, Petrochem Plants,
Power Stations.
Ideally able to weld using TIG & MIG, MAG as well to good specs.
Ideally with current Weld Certs, or proof of codings etc.
Plus other quals and safety cards/certs as below.
Hours of Work = 0700 to 1700 Mon to ?? Fri plus weekends if required
Skilled Pay = GBP18 + per hr Mon - Fri, then GBP23 + Sat and GBP28 + Sun
Via Ltd or Payment Company
Skilled PAYE Pay = Basic from GBP14.50 + per hr then GBP21.75 + per hr overtime and Sat, GBP29 per hr Sun
Semi Skilled & Mate Pay = GBP11 + per hr Mon - Fri, GBP13 + Sat, GBP15 + Sun
Via Ltd or Payment Company
PAYE PAY = Basic from GBP8.00 + hr, GBP12 per hr overtime + Sat, GBP16.00 hr Sun
Term of Work = 6 - 18 weeks + Subject to attendance, time keeping, performance etc. These could be long term roles from 26 - 52 weeks.
Subject to Work Load and the Worker, being prepared to travel in a 30 - 50 mile radius, if required. Which would ensure a lot longer run of work all round !
Pipe Fitters, Platers, Pipe Welders Skills, Quals, Certs Required =
Quals = C&G or NVQ 3 Pipe Fitting or Mechanical Fitting, or Plating or Welding etc
Safety Cards/Certs = CSCS Card, or ECITB Safety Passport
Welders must be able to weld to coded specs and ideally have copies of weld certs !
Ideally IPAF Mobile Platform Card. Ideally Skilled with Operating Mobile Plat Form to access areas.
Ideally with Abrasive Wheels, First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, Fire Watching
Any of these would be a big plus !!!!

Semi - Skilled Trades & Mates etc, covering local locations and UK wide !
