We are currently seeking a Product Designer – Household Products .Based at our stylish Head Office in Rochdale, this role is responsible for designing new products from initial concept right through to manufacture.

The Product Designer Role:

We are currently looking to increase our design capacity to push our brands into new market areas and continue to develop our existing product ranges. The successful candidate will work closely with our own manufacturing facilities in the UK and also in the Far East. Our designers are responsible for managing the process from beginning to end giving a feeling of ownership and room to innovate.

+ Developing considered and innovative design concepts individually or as part of a team. These will provide valuable solutions and enhancements to what is already out there!
+ Keep up to date with product trends in the household goods and associated markets
+ Produce workshop samples or mock up prototype models for presentations and follow through to finished tooling and final production. 
+ Understand the suitability and availability of materials and manufacturing processes.
+ Maintain professional working relationships through regular contact with all stakeholders and suppliers 
+ Champion the company brand and values, and represent the department in dealing with clients, suppliers and other organisations.

About You

+ Degree educated in Product or Industrial Design (or similar discipline)
+ Knowledge of SolidWorks software is preferable although other 3D CAD packages will be considered
+ Experience designing plastic and metal and taking products from concept through to production. Design of electrical products would also be useful.
+ Self-motivated and methodical with the ability to work both independently and within a team, on multiple projects simultaneously
+ Proficient across Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
+ An excellent eye for detail
