The ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant for the school is an intelligent and diligent university graduate with a good academic background and a minimum degree classification of a 2:1. The ideal candidate will also be both enthusiastic and supportive nature who provides an excellent role model for the KS1 pupils. You must have a detailed and up to date knowledge of the curriculum. The ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant must have a passion for education and ideally aspires to be a teacher in the future.
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant you will primarily be supporting children aged between 5 and 7 and will assist with assist with organisation, planning and delivery of lessons which will aid your development and improving your skills for the future. The KS1 Teaching Assistant will be required to support children of a range of levels and in different circumstances for 1:1 to working in small groups.
You will be joining the supportive and nurturing KS1 department as an integral part of the development of young learners. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant you will have state at the art facilities available to you and will be assigned a mentor in the form of an experienced teacher to assist you whenever you need.
