Location: Cambridge

Our client's College is located in the centre of Cambridge. It is the largest of the Colleges of Cambridge University with some 650 undergraduates, 350 post-graduates and 190 Fellows (the senior members of the College), plus some 350 staff. The College site contains a substantial and intensively used group of buildings of considerable architectural distinction constructed over a period spanning 700 years. Its buildings house the living accommodation of undergraduates, some postgraduates and some single Fellows, together with dining, recreational, studying and support facilities. Out of term the College hosts a number of conferences.

The College is seeking to appoint an experienced health and safety specialist to lead, manage and co-ordinate health and safety provisions to ensure an environment which is compliant with health and safety legislation, practices and guidelines.

Applicants must hold the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, possess excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and have the initiative to organise and lead audits and projects together with the ability to present proposals and training to a diverse audience. Experience of working with historic or listed buildings would be desirable.
