Lecturer in Hairdressing
37 hours / 40 weeks per year
Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months (Maternity Cover)
We require a Learning Facilitator in Hairdressing to work under the direction of the Head of Faculty Service Industries.
The successful applicant will have a good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent level (level 2), a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Hairdressing, and must hold or be willing to immediately commence obtaining the Assessor Award.
The successful applicants will perform practical demonstrations and instruction to individuals and/or small groups of learners, monitor the progress of learners and carry out competence-based assessment and/or assessment to standard formats. Recent industrial/commercial experience and flexibility with regard to workload is essential. The successful applicants must have good organisational and communication skills.
