Purpose / Role:
The Head of Marketing Communications is a key role in our organisation. Utilitywise are changing things in our industry, and so we need to evolve our marketing roadmap, plan and capabilities to support our refreshed strategic goals and propositions. This role will have accountability for leading, shaping and delivering that marketing roadmap, and the full suite of promotional communications to customers to deliver against our strategy.
You'll lead a team of experienced segment / campaign managers & internal creative services, and work closely with agency partners, to define and deliver outstanding, differentiated customer campaigns across the marketing mix from the UK's largest multi utilities broker.

Key Responsibilities:
Building our brand position by;
•Creation and evolution of the Marketing roadmap supporting key proposition launches and strategy.
•Coaching and leadership of the Marketing communications teams.
•Developing demand generation strategies that drive inbound customer activity.
•Managing the delivery of relevant, differentiated marketing campaigns to segments and to support customer campaigns.
•Managing the marketing communications budget.
•Manage and develop strong relationships with key agencies to maximise creative return on investment, overseeing all media related activity via external parties.
•Advise on and evangelise the use of latest marketing trends, and explore innovative opportunities and ways to engage customers.

•Lead the marketing communications team, coaching and developing as required
•Support the delivery of the Utilitywise strategy through the delivery of marketing and segment campaigns
•Differentiate Utilitywise from the competition using creative and innovative marketing messaging and campaigns
•Lead and ensure we get maximum value from our selected external agencies
•Design and execute national/regional and vertical sector campaigns
•Act as the Brand guardian for Utilitywise.
•Design and execute tone of voice guidelines for Utilitywise
•Demonstrate of ROI on all campaigns and investments
•Collaborate with other marketing colleagues in Corporate communications, Product Marketing and Digital to define positioning and develop messages for internal and external audiences
•Partner with Internal Communication to ensure messaging is aligned with external content
•Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications / Training:
•Bachelor's degree level education with a recognised marketing qualification

Desirable Qualifications / Training:
•Business degree of equivalent level of experience in a dynamic business environment

Essential Experience:
•10+ years marketing communications experience amongst leading consumer / B2B brands
•Demonstrable delivery capability of through the line, integrated campaigns including on and offline marketing channels
•Experience in developing Marketing Roadmaps and plans
•Experience in effective budget management
•Commercial outlook - Astute, numerate and comfortable with KPIs and metrics and exploring and managing ROI
•Experience in managing and influencing, negotiating, partnering, communicating with others
•Proven ability in developing team
