We are a well-established manufacturer and distributor of electrical components / motors / drives and require an experienced, professional area sales manager to cover the South East region of the UK.
SALARY: Up to GBP50,000
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Bonus based on company and personal performance up to 15% + Company car + Access to company benefits scheme including excellent pension plan / private healthcare / life assurance.

JOB SPECIFICATION - Area Sales Manager
This is a home based, consultative, area sales management role. Covering the South East of England, you will be managing a wide range of accounts from various sectors including medical and defence. Around 80% of the job is area sales account management and business development of those existing accounts. You will be selling a mix of electrical components / motors / drives and bespoke engineering solutions and adaptations.
The sales cycle can be two to three years in length - connecting with projects at concept stage, selling to designers / project managers. Average sales order values GBP200k.
New business development / new area sales is a mix of self-generation, networking and following of leads from marketing (print / web / exhibitions.)
You will make occasional trips to principals (alongside customers) in Germany and Switzerland.
REQUIREMENTS - Area Sales Manager
You MUST have:
- A proven track record of area sales success - selling some sort of technical product.
- A consultative sales style - happy to manage projects and customer accounts over large order values and long lead cycles.
