Job Title: Operations Manager - Sales & Marketing

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: GBP18,000 - GBP20,000

Job Type: Full time, Permanent (5 days a week and often includes working weekends and bank holidays)

Our Client, a leading visitor attraction in the South, is looking for a pro-active experienced individual to join their lively team as an Operations manager responsible for Sales and Marketing.

About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the coordination of the Sales and Marketing and to carry out operational duties and duty management as required. Your goal will be to drive and grow visitor numbers and sales.

You will be responsible for advertising, social media and digital marketing, you will need to be flexible and enjoy working with the public. The role includes outreach and outdoor promotions via tourism fairs and events.

The role will include responsibility for the website, ensuring this is up to date with all current information whilst also including event co-ordination, record and report keeping, assisting in operational duties such as stocktaking, managing commercial budgets and duty management in the park.

About You

This position will suit someone of a positive nature and who relishes a challenge as the role can vary from day to day. The person should be well organised and have relevant experience of sales and marketing in a similar role. A relevant qualification would also be an advantage.

The role will suit someone with great enthusiasm and a go getter, willing to be flexible and has a passion for sales and marketing and working with the public. The role includes social media and digital marketing campaigns; it is vital that the person has good experience of this and shows a strong understanding of this very important part of the role.

You should be ready for anything and be able to keep your finger on the pulse and react accordingly to media enquiries, including TV Filming, radio interviews and press relations. This is a fast paced role with ever changing priorities; the successful candidate should be able to work under pressure and enjoy working in a fast moving environment.
