SHEQ Manager

Base: Rotherham
Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd are the Volvo Truck and Bus specialists for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
We require a tenacious SHEQ Manager to liaise and support depot managers in providing competent advice and guidance on the management of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental issues. As the SHEQ manager you will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the company from planning, directing and to coordinating activities to ensure that our company remains compliant.
The Role will involve:
- Providing specialist assistance with risk assessment and risk management.
- Assisting in the investigation of incidents and provide expert advice in best practice going forward.
- Implementing and overseeing the quality and environmental management systems
- Maintain an overview of the health and safety and environmental policies and produce monthly statistics to support continuous improvement for the board of directors.
- Utilising effective engagement and influencing skills to build and develop strong relationships with senior managers.
- Monthly auditing of our 20 sites, ensuring paperwork is in order.
- Auditing for the purpose of ISO regulations.
Requirements
- As SHEQ Manager you will be qualified to NEBOSH diploma level (or equivalent) and ideally hold an environmental accreditation.
- You should have previous experience as a SHEQ Manager within the commercial truck sector.
- You should be an excellent communicator with meticulous attention to detail.
- You should have the ability to plan and think strategically
- Well developed leadership attributes are required.
