The successful candidate will be responsible for complex customer issues and identifying possible causes.The 3rd Line Application Support Engineer will become an expert in the product and be able to provide clear guidance, support, and solutions for incidents and problems.What you'll be doing Providing support across a number of our products. Investigating issues and identifying possible causes. Maintaining hands on production support, and providing proactive support and advice on future requirements. Liaising with Service Delivery, 1st and 2nd line support, and the product team. Remotely upgrading/updating the application. Generating documentation. Participating in an out of hour's rota in support of 3rd tier coverage 24/7. What we're looking forEssential: Linux - preferably Centos. Scripting -preferably bash. Database query skills - preferably MySql. Web Services - preferably TomCat. General understanding of telecoms, data networking, routing, infrastructure. Good communication skills, both internal and with external clients. Desirable: ITIL awareness. SSL Security. Working knowledge of vi,awk, sed. Alerting/Monitoring tools typically Nagios/Logstash/Hyperic/Zabbix. Programming C, C++, Java, Perl, Python or similar. Understanding of F5 Load balancers. #AI-DICE Security Clearance is required for this vacancy.
