Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

Our client is a local company with a portfolio of approximately 5000 affordable homes in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. They are passionate about what they do in providing high quality homes and investing in their communities to improve people’s lives.

Working predominantly at Leighton Hospital and in and around the Cheshire East area you will provide support to pregnant smokers and their partners to help them give up smoking. This will include the development, co-ordination and delivery of training to midwives and other allied health professionals as well as identifying when to refer to other agencies where and when appropriate.

The work is autonomous, so you must be able to work under your own initiative as you will also lead on the development and implementation of policies and programmes which improve the health of pregnant women and their unborn baby, to meet local and national targets.

You will also provide training to Midwives and allied healthcare staff on smoking issues as well as working with other members of the ‘One You Cheshire East’ and ‘Wellbeing’ teams to support pregnant smokers in a holistic way. You will need to have a full driving license and a NCSCT Level 2 Qualification in order to meet the requirements for this role.
