Head of Training
Assist Resourcing have been instructed to recruit Head of Training, this is a national role with a base in the North West. Our client a market leader are recruiting due to continuous growth and new business wins.
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the effective control of training provision and to achieve maximum economic and profitable utilisation of the resources and staff.
The responsibilities will include but not limited to -
- Support and drive delivery of quality training
- Working closely with key employers to ensure delivery is tailored to meet their needs and learner and employer satisfaction is met or exceeded.
- Ensure compliance for funding bodies, Ofsted and awarding organisations is met.
- Management of staff and resources within your provision area
- Liaise with funding bodies, awarding / regulatory bodies and external stakeholders as and when required
- Provide information for National contractual requirements
- Work with the quality department to investigate customer complaints and compliments
- Ensure learners receive a high quality of delivery, that is timely and within company / regional success rate criteria and awarding / regulatory body governance
- Provision of management information to Head Office within predefined deadlines
- Liaise with other staff as appropriate in the continuous development of the organisation
- Liaise and co-ordinate with internal departments, to support activities and development as appropriate
- Application of the company's safeguarding policy and procedures
Education/Qualifications:
Essential:
- Management qualification minimum level 3 or proven experience of operational line management responsibilities
- Assessor and Verifier qualifications
Desirable:
- Degree in an area of Management
- Proven experience of a same level post within a Training / Education establishment
- Continuous Improvement qualification minimum level 2
- Knowledge of the logistics sector
- Experience of using and managing e-portfolio system and experience of using e-learning.
Knowledge/skills/experience:
Essential:
- Knowledge and understanding of UK Legislation and its application in a work environment
- Knowledge and understanding of funding regulations and awarding / regulatory bodies related to the provision area
- Numerical and budgeting skills
- IT skills
- Intellectually agile with experience in balancing tasks and priorities to meet goals/ KPIs
- Experience of delegating tasks and carrying out project work
- Experience in managing people remotely
- Full UK Driving license
