As one of the UK's leading independent professional services companies we are currently looking to recruit an intelligent and well-organised Finance Assistant at our Preston office. The role would suit a well-rounded AAT finalist with experience providing accounting support in a previous high volume finance role and looking for an opportunity to develop with an industry leading business.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role would include assisting with the following tasks…
o Running reports and maintaining accounting records
o Posting journals to the accounting system
o Data analysis
o Balance sheet reconciliations
The ideal candidate will have experience providing support in a busy and fast-paced accounting / finance environment. You will possibly be a recent school / college leaver looking for an opportunity to develop your existing skills with a leading business. AAT part-qualification would be an advantage although is not essential.
You will be a well organised and methodical individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Strong IT skills will be required with a good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word), as will good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
With almost 3500 partners and staff across 35 offices generating a fee income of over £300 million, you would be joining one of the 3 principal mid-market accountancy firms at a particularly exciting time.
