BMC Resourcing are working closely with a leading multi discipline engineering organisation based in Wiltshire. Due to growth now require a Field Service Engineer to support their Agricultural and Dairy business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a one of best award winning employers within the region. You will enjoy working in a company that values and appreciates their employees and who has maintained their family ethos for over 100 years.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will diagnose faults, repair and maintain all electrical and mechanical machinery and components on site. You will carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules and interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to the machinery and equipment.
The role will include Service and Maintenance of Milking parlours, both planned and reactive. It will also include upgrading existing equipment and installing new equipment.
The work would mostly be carried out on your own, but sometimes as part of a team on larger installations/services. Due to this you will be in charge of organising yourself and any materials required.
Key Requirements:
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation
• Be proficient in using metal fabrication tools i.e., cutting & welding
• Have a full UK driving licence
• Able to work as an individual or as part of a team
• Be keen to learn new skills
• Good customer service skills
• Polite and professional manner is essential
• Knowledge of refrigeration maintenance
• Have an agricultural/farming background, either personally or as part of a job
