Senior Residential Childcare Worker
Senior Residential Childcare Worker required for a Children's Home.
The children and young people demonstrate a wide range of challenging behaviours and can be very demanding of time, attention and emotions. The focus of every staff member is to work actively to meet the needs of the children and young people in. This can only be achieved through a dynamic and active team.
The Senior role is to support the Registered Home Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focused environment for the young people. When on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervision of staff and take responsibility for the day to day management, and guidance of colleagues whilst ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.
Qualifications/Experience
NVQ 3/ QCF (Caring for Children and Young People)
Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare
