Our client, a consultant working from home, is looking for a motivated self-employed PA to support him on a part time basis with his personal administration.

The role is based in Bedfordshire but is easily commutable from north Hertfordshire.

You will be working in a friendly but delivery-focused environment.

Typical duties cover:
- Extensive use of MS Office 2010 (Word, Excel) to create and update documents to a professional standard. These include legal/official documents being sent out and databases covering contact with external organisations.
- Accurate filing
- General administration

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Good education. Applicants with degree or equivalent qualifications preferred. Formal secretarial training/qualifications a bonus.
- Strong literacy skills for completing forms, creating letters, updating databases etc.
- Any previous experience of drafting legal/official documents would be a significant bonus
- Current record of success in a similar role (PA in a small office)
- Current relevant office experience. This role is unlikely to be suitable for a returner to work whose skills are not current or a fresh graduate looking for experience.

Standard hours are 4-6 hours on a Friday with the option to work an additional 2-4 hours during the week as needed. Some flexibility may be needed on exact working times, so this may not suit somebody with other fixed time commitments.

The rate is excellent at around GBP30 per hour. The client is offering a 12 month contract which is renewable.

Please apply with CV in Word format only and short covering note stating why you are interested in this role.

Please note that work / client references will be taken up for the successful applicant before starting work. Any current criminal check clearance would be helpful as you will be working from the client's home office
