MATERIALS BUYER
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Materials Buyer to demonstrate their expertise within an important and dynamic automotive manufacturing company, world renowned for their cutting edge technology and respected global leaders within their field based in Swindon, Wiltshire on a 12 months fixed term contract basis.
As Materials Buyer you will be responsible for the Raw material contract management of Steel & Aluminium for direct supply to the company and Level one suppliers.
As a member of the Purchasing team you will play an important role in quality and profitability sourcing materials from suppliers the world over, controlling cost to achieve set targets whilst using your experience and negotiating skills to ensure continuity of supply, dealing and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers from the UK, Europe and Far East.
As Materials Buyer you will be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of cost management and cost analysis ideally gained through experience in a high volume manufacturing Purchasing role.
You will be highly organised with an ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to achieve set deadlines, demonstrating a clear logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
You will have the ability to investigate, analyse, problem solve and implement countermeasures for gap to plan - being self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach to work unsupervised within a team.
