As the Agile Business Analyst within a clinical domain, you'll engineer requirements by working with senior stakeholders, potential system users, SMEs, designers and a product owner to develop robust User Stories for technical implementation by a development team. During development cycles, you'll be expected to support team members involved in technical delivery and testing. Located in Manchester, with some travel to Cambridge or Gothenburg.
You'll possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and be comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses. Due to the nature of the assignments undertaken by Altran you will work in an environment that promotes autonomy and initiative, requiring a flexible attitude. Above all, you will have a desire to progress.
Responsibilities:
Proactively contribute to design of conceptual data flows through the system and alignment of data processing steps to the activities that must be supported within the Clinical Trial Safety Data Review process. Contribute to communication and training alongside gathering feedback from users to make further improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing high-level conceptual designs for new parts of the system prior to more detailed user story development
- Developing robust user stories for new components
- Validating developer deliverables, review test output is as per design, review and report findings to designated Project signoff responsible person
- Managing the Jira backlog
- Maintaining documentation of design ideas
- Regularly attend team meetings to represent stakeholder needs to support the Product Owner
- Proactively work within a cross-functional team and contribute to the end-to-end process for delivering a new system
Requirements:
- Ideally hold a bachelor's degree in Life Science, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Have over experience and a demonstrable track record in a range of business analyst and/or project management roles, ideally within a life science environment
- Demonstrate working experience of Agile methodologies and requirements engineering in an agile setting to author user stories
- Possess experience of operating globally in business aligned functions, with senior stakeholders
- Strong skills in conceptual data modelling, business process modelling (BPMN) and use case modelling tools and techniques
- Demonstrate ability to work closely with scientific focused customer groups to develop an understanding of business priorities and changing needs
- Experience of understanding the business needs and analyse, validate and document the business and system requirements that address these needs
- Experience of working within a quality management framework along with an appreciation of UX principles
- Experience of providing hands on user training
- Experience in working with users to create of mock-ups and wireframes using tools
- Scrum experience would be beneficial
- Experience working within Clinical data and knowledge of industry data standards would be advantageous
