Job Title: Nightshift Team Leader - Weekends
Location: Corby
Salary: Competitive
The hours of work will be: Friday - Monday 6.00pm - 6am
Closing Date: 30th June 2017
Job Role:
To ensure the smooth running of the production process, ensure that all products are produced to the Quality
specification. Targets and deadlines are met to achieve the customer schedules. Ensure that all operators comply with
the company's Health & Safety procedures in line with the company handbook. Will liaise with other Injection Cell
Leaders to share information and control the flow of production though their departments.
Qualifications or Skill Required:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired
- Have previous experience in managing a team
- Experience of making decisions in a timely manner
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards ensuring they are checked for conformance with the
- departments SPI's before the move to the next department.
- Ensure all Health & Safety rules and regulations are adhered to, complete regular inspections and ensure issues are either
- corrected or escalated using the resources within the company, in line with the companies Health & Safety policy.
- To check operator bookings on a daily basis to ensure production rates are being met, arrange training and coaching for
- operators who do not meet the required production rates and escalating to supervisor when necessary.
- Ensure all overtime and shift working is fully justified and approved before allocating to staff.
- Monitor time keeping and absence through return to work meetings and the following attendance policy, requesting the
- support of HR at the required level.
- Work with the HR department to carry out investigations and disciplinary that may be required.
- Ensure stock/WIP records including scrap recording are correctly maintained.
- Ensure good communication is given to the team via weekly team briefs using the department KPI data, identify and action
- issues that are raised using the problem follow up boards.
- Ensuring all new starters have an extensive training plan and are buddied up with a grade three trained operative.
