The Company and the Role:
The Company is an award winning family owned gastro pub chain operating 7 sites in the South East. They are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef for their public house located near Epsom in Surrey. The position is permanent.
The Company is looking for a committed Junior Sous Chef with a passion for good food that is ready to continue developing their career in an award-winning venue.
Key Features of the Role:
All food is prepared in house using fresh ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible
As Junior Sous Chef you will be expected to create, develop and set the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award winning pub standard.
Enhancing the Company's reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that second to none.
Making sure that you create the dining experience for every customer, this embodies everything a Great British pub should be.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Junior Sous Chef / Senior Chef de Partie ideally with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level, with your own transport.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
Alternatively, the Company is supportive to the ex-military community, they welcome applications from Chefs at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who have trained and served as a Chef in the Armed Forces.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
You must have experience and a desire to work with fresh, quality produce and you should possess ambition to continually embody the business ethos and values.
What's on Offer:
Basic salary will be in the region of GBP17.5K - GBP19.5K per annum plus tips which will be worth around GBP80 per week. In addition, there is a monthly bonus scheme. Other benefits include a pension scheme, staff loyalty Scheme after 3 months, Uniform / Chefs Whites and Childcare Vouchers.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
