James Horne is recruiting for an experienced Surface Mount Technology Engineer to join a Technology Innovation Centre who support UK Businesses, Universities and Industries to overcome their innovation challenges. This is a permanent role based in Sedgefield, County Durham.
You will be responsible for supporting and developing projects involving prototypes of printed electronics device technologies with a main focus being the management of pick and place associated equipment.
Further responsibilities and duties will include:
- Maintenance, programming and troubleshooting of SMT process equipment.
- Preparation, operation and supervision of materials and equipment for and during trials and optimising the process performance and efficiency.
- Developing and maintaining excellent levels of service and communication with customers.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Qualified to at least HNC in an Engineering or Scientific subject.
- Proven industrial experience in the surface mount industry.
