Are you a qualified residential childcare professional with an easy-going attitude and great communication skills looking to progress your career? If so, this is an amazing opportunity to join a successful charity that is dedicated to making a positive impact on young people’s lives.

With 20 years of success, our client provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and young adults with learning disabilities. They are now looking for a full-time Senior Support Worker to join their team at their residential and short breaks home in Dartington.

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll help to deliver a 24/7, high level support package to children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs at our client’s residential and short breaks home in Dartington.

You’ll enable children and young people to achieve their goals, targets and aspirations within a safe, welcoming and fun environment, in-line with their care plan.

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience of deputising for Team Leaders as and when required

Our client is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and they expect all staff to share their commitment. As such, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

In accordance with care standards legislation, applicants need to be 21 years or over to apply, as this is a requirement for all staff that are given sole responsibility for children. Within this requirement, no person is able to work in a children’s home unless they are at least four years older than the oldest child accommodated.

Please note, the closing date for applications is 5pm on 30th June 2017. Interviews are scheduled to be held on 6th July 2017.
