The role: Senior Civil Engineer joining the growing team at the Bristol office. The team are working on residential, student accommodation, retail and commercial projects.
You will be required to do hands on design and be able to lead projects of all sizes running a team of engineers/technicians. The successful Civil Engineer for the role would be an excellent team player and have a proactive and positive attitude towards working under pressure and team mentoring. For the right candidate the role includes career progression to Associate Designate. Project values are typically GBP2-3million.
- First point of contact for clients, contractors, etc
- Project manage schemes from inception to completion
- Managing and mentoring of other members of staff
- Client contact and liaison
- Marketing and business development of the company
The person: Charismatic project leader with high long term career aspirations.
- Educated to Degree standard or with an HNC
- Extensive experience of civil engineering design on multi-disciplinary projects
- Track record of successful delivery on both small and large projects in both design and management aspects
- Knowledge and experience of civil design software such as PDS, Civils 3D
- Able to manage teams internally, including financial management performance
- To work within budget and to programme, by effectively utilising resources coupled with cost control
- Valid UK driving licence
