Performing Arts Coach - Oxford High School
Background
Oxford Active runs holiday camps for children aged 3-14 years based at five private schools throughout Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Hertfordshire. As well as our usual range of fun activities, we are now offering specialist Active Plus coaching sessions to children who want to learn new skills and develop their abilities in sports and performing arts.
We are therefore looking to recruit a Performing Arts Coach to run structured coaching sessions at our busy holiday camp based at Oxford High School in Summertown, Oxford.
Dates: May Half Term 30 May - 2 June and Summer Holidays 17 July - 1 September

Job Duties
To plan and prepare all sessions allocated to you at the holiday camp
To run structured performing arts coaching sessions with children aged 3-14
To ensure all children take part, have fun, learn and develop their skills in performing arts
To liaise with parents to provide feedback on children's progress
To follow Oxford Active's policies and procedures to keep children safe. (These will include but not be limited to behaviour, safeguarding, risk assessments and other health and safety issues)
To administer first aid as appropriate and keep premises and equipment clean and tidy
Person Specification
Must have proven performing arts skills and/or qualifications
At least one year's experience of working with children in a coaching environment
Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
All our staff have to pass strict safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure.
