About Our Client
My client is a market leading and national hotel chain who require a commercially and technically strong Financial Controller responsible for 2 of their leading venues/hotels.

Job Description
• Responsible for all areas of the P&L for 2 venues/hotels reporting to the General Managers to include weekly visits
• Direct and manage the organisation's overall control and financial policies and accounting practices in accordance to the group standards
• Preparation of the Management Accounts and KPI reporting
• Manage the annual budget, monthly re-forecasting and cash flow forecasting.
• Preparing annual accounts and ensuring that all financial matters are in accordance with legislation and ethical accounting practices
• Lead on to improve month-end processes; accuracy and reliability of reporting to hit tight deadlines
• Lead on and partner with hotel General Managers and key stakeholders to review progress against budget
• Manage the payroll function for circa 80 employees
• Recruit, develop and motivate the Finance Team to achieve its objectives and departmental purpose

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• An accredited accountancy qualification AAT minimum or QBE
• Experience in Hotel, Hospitality or Leisure industry sectors is preferable but not essential.
• Significant experience in preparing management accounts and responding to the needs of budget holders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
