Our cleint is financially one of the strongest of its kind in the country with very high success rates, amongst the top 10% nationally.

The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 620 students on higher education programmes. They have over 2,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers.

The college are looking for a full time Instructor in Construction Plant Maintenance to support the teaching and training on the Apprenticeship programmes across the workshop and classroom in Plant Maintenance practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To fully support the teaching and training to the agreed Standards for Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Engage in core duties including preparation, teaching and training workshop and classroom Plant Maintenance practice, monitoring student progress, Assessment and associated tracking of assessed work, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
  • Act as Personal Tutor to a group of students and undertake the duties associated with this pastoral role.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Have a minimum of a level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Plant Maintenance discipline
  • Have or be willing to undertake any relevant teaching and training qualification (DET/CTLLS/ DTLLS/PGCE/TAQA or equivalent)
  • Have relevant training experience within industry or FE sector.
