Customer Sales And Product Support Technician
Due to continued growth this family run company are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the friendly team. They are global importers, distributors and manufacturers of a wide range of electronic and mechanical engineering products. The vacancy is at the head office in Hoddesdon but the company has office and warehouse facilities in the USA and China.
Successful candidates will be given full product training in one or more of the key product areas which include: Metrology tools, Digital readout systems, Soldering tools, Ultrasonic cleaning, Specialist Power tools, Networking Antenna Equipment, Electronic Test Probes, Equipment Enclosures, Marine Tapping Tools and Data Acquisition Systems.
Previous technical knowledge or experience in any of the areas would be a distinct advantage but not essential. An Engineering or IT qualification and / or a genuine interest in this area is essential.
Key responsibilities:
•Product Management
•Warm / Cold calling for new business
•Respond to technical pre and post sale advice by telephone
•Pro-actively contribute to sales and up-selling to new and existing customers
•Chasing quotations to convert into sales
•Process Sales and Customer purchase orders
•Assist senior sales staff with related administrative duties
Skills and Experience
•Professional, confident with a can-do attitude
•Excellent communication skills
•Motivated with a desire to succeed
•Previous experience in customer service, internal sales and/or technical knowledge of any of our product ranges a distinct advantage
•Work well in a team environment and independently
•Quick learner
•Excellent spoken and written English but multi lingual skills are desirable
•Good working knowledge of all MS Office packages including Outlook and Excel
The position is full time, permanent with an excellent salary dependant on experience benefits. Immediate start
