We’re looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our professional team as an Education Coordinator at our College in Knapwell, Cambridge. This opportunity is to work 18.75 hours per week, on a fixed term basis until August 2018.

About the role 
As an Education Coordinator you will be working with young adults with sensory impairments, associated learning difficulties and physical disabilities to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons. You will assess progress against EHCP and ILP outcomes.

You will work alongside another Education Coordinator and the Education Team. You will also have additional responsibilities relating to daily operations within the Centre.

Sense is a national charity that supports people who are deafblind, those with sensory impairments and those with complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives.

Cambridge Resource Centre is an education and day service situated in Knapwell, approximately 10 miles from Cambridge. It has fantastic facilities, including classrooms with interactive technology, a kitchen and an outdoor area featuring a wheelchair swing. All of which enable individuals to learn and grow through fun and creative methods. We are located in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by farmland, unfortunately there is no access to public transport; applicants must have alternative means of travel.

About you and what we offer 
Previous experience of working with people who have a sensory impairment, autism or learning disability would be an advantage, as would knowledge of BSL, Makaton or other methods of communication. BSL Level 1 or higher is an advantage, but is not a requirement for the role.

Educated to degree or above (or equivalent) is an essential requirement for this role.
