We currently require experienced laminators or applicants that are able to demonstrate excellent hand skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Applicants with transferable hand skills from other industries such as Plasterers, Painters and Decorators etc will be considered.
Duties will include: basic gel coat application and laminating skills, identification of basic laminating defects, basic mould repairs and using repair filler.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare mould for lay-up, release agent application, material identification, catalysation, basic gel coat application, basic laminating skills, and use of basic hand tools, capable of identification of basic laminating defects.
• Understand basic lay-up drawings, use of core materials (Balsa, foam etc) and generic bonding pastes, fitting of plants, aligning split moulds, release of simple moulds, use and control of patterns and jigs.
• Capable of using full range of GRP materials. Work unassisted on basic moulds.
• Able to apply split mould, two tone and tracking gel coat.
• Basic mould repairs using repair filler.
• Competent to work with in a team without guidance and contributing to a team bonus.
