Senior HR Adviser (Projects)

Benefits

Salary: Grade 6, £36,379-£41,025 per annum (full time) 

Location – Service Headquarters, Calcot, Reading

29 days plus Bank Holidays per annum (full time).

This is a fixed term role for a period of 6 months with possible extension.

The hours for this role are flexible up to 37 hours per week; however consideration will be given to applicants requesting part-time working. Annual Leave and pay will be prorated accordingly.

We are currently undergoing high levels of organisational change and we are seeking a high calibre HR professional to support a wide range of organisational projects and initiatives.   

Main Duties

  • Provide  advice, guidance and practical assistance on matters relating to organisational change to assist RBFRS meet the challenges faced in relation to reducing available budget and service priorities
  • Ensuring compliance with all employment law requirements in relation to change projects.
  • Researching HR policy, procedures and best practice across a range of partner organisations and other Blue Light services
  • Develop close working relationship with Senior Managers, Representative Bodies and employees
  • Act as the HR representative for grievance, discipline and performance investigations and hearings

The ideal candidate will combine generalist HR experience with previous involvement in policy formulation and supporting organisational projects.  This post will be an ideal career move for an ambitious HR Adviser looking to extend their portfolio of experience. The successful candidate will be someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for service improvement with high level logical reasoning powers including investigative skills.   The ability to work both independently and as a team player is a must. You will hold an HR qualification, extensive HR project experience and be a member of CIPD.
