Stores Operative
We are SCC -Specialist Computer Centres , Europe's largest privately owned IT group.
We supply computer hardware and services to commercial and public sector organisations, nationwide and support this equipment by providing comprehensive and speedy repair and maintenance services to our customers to ensure their IT equipment is in full working order .
A vital part of our service is the provision of replacement parts for our engineers to be able to repair all types of computer equipment at our customers' sites and to ensure full and prompt supply of replacement parts we are looking for a talented individual to be responsible for our Engineering Parts Stores at our Bristol Offices.
The role:
To control the movement of good and damaged stock through the local stores ; remote stores locations and engineers' cars and vans .
To review logistic reports to assist in controlling and managing stock aligned to engineers and customer sites .
To control with accuracy regional stock and assist with deliveries and engineering requirements when and if required ;.
Main Duties:
• Handling and booking in good parts received from suppliers and other SCC branches.
• Handling and recording all good and bad stock items received from engineers and remote locations .
• Checking all bad returns from engineers and remote locations for warranty purposes.
• Requesting tags for warranty items
• Responding to telephone requests and emails from engineers and other stores and departments including logistics, purchasing and warranty .
• Creating daily manifests for all movement of good and bad stock and customer repairs for tracking purposes.
• Review and manage local stock discrepancies.
• Contact logistics for all 'same day' authorisations.
• Keep stores associated areas tidy and free from hazards.
• Assist engineers in field operations to include two persons lift, collection of parts from sites (including sites without an SCC team presence).
• Same-day part deliveries
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Experience gained working in a retail store / supermarket
* Good standard of IT literacy
* Experience gained in a stores /parts environment .
* Driving license essential
* Good IT literacy
Training will be provided .
