We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Pitney Bowes we are currently looking for an Account Manager / Business Developer to join our team based in Harlow, Essex. The successful candidate will join us on a full time permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

About the Account Manager / Business Developer role

We are looking for confident individuals with a passion for sales. The type of people who can demonstrate confidence, a will to win and are consistent overachievers.  It will be your responsibility to generate new customer contacts and to develop customer accounts by winning new and competitor business. A large amount of your day will be spent on the phone developing relationships and closing deals, so good communication skills really are a must. The working environment is fast paced so the ability to manage your own time and workload is essential

As our Account Manager / Business Developer, you will be responsible for:

- Identifying new business leads

- Conduct research in order to understand the operational needs and opportunities of sales prospects

- Identify key buying influencers

- Generation of new business leads to build your account base through a high volume of outbound cold calling

- Building relationships with potential clients to support the development of new and competitive customers

- Conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel

- Manage data for new and prospective clients, ensuring all communications are logged and information is accurate and up to date

- Utilise telephone, mass electronic and traditional communication methods - including mailers, email, LinkedIn and social media - to introduce the Pitney Bowes brand and products into previously mined businesses and key buying influencers

What we are looking for in our Account Manager / Business Developer:

- Account Management, Business Development and New Business experience required

- Proficient in Windows applications including; E-mail, MS Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer (all required)

- Ability to navigate multiple applications

- Strong client care skills

- Ability to have a consultative conversation

- Experience of working to targets and in a fast paced & ever changing environment
